DirectHit® Report
Each DirectHit® Report provides expression scores for each biomarker and a recommendation for treatment, with the mechanistically related drug. It will provide treatment recommendations for Antiestrogens (Estrogen Receptor), Trastuzumab (HER-2/neu), Taxanes ( beta tubulin isoform III) and capecitabine (thymidylate synthase).
Expression scores without treatment recommendation are provided for Topoisomerase IIa (Anthracyclines), and Ribonucleotide Reductase (Gemcitibine). Currently, these expression scores are for physician information only. Future plans are to include treatment recommendations for these biomarkers.
All expression scores are provided in Drug Response Indicator Units (DRIU). One DRIU is defined as the number of IgG-fluorescent conjugate molecules in a unit area (pixel) of an image that will yield an average fluorescence/pixel of 2000 at the appropriate exposure time.
The DirectHit Report is divided into four sections; Patient Information, Assay Description, DirectHit Results and Treatment Recommendation. Each DirectHit Report is reviewed by CCC Diagnostics Quality Control Department and signed by the Laboratory Director prior to issue.
